Andy Rooney, whose opinionated, gently crotchety commentaries on 60 Minutes hit delighted, touched, annoyed, and furious audience since 1978, is retiring, feature the tone Reporter and mediabistro.com's Gail Shister.

Rooney, 92, was not featured on the CBS show's 44th-season execute on Sunday, but he is due to materialize this Sun in what will be his terminal show.
